Sentry Select Capital Corp. Proposes Changes to Sentry Select Canadian Resource Fund Ltd., Plans to Offer Additional Corporate Class Mutual Funds

Toronto - Sentry Select Capital Corp. (“Sentry Select”) announced today that a meeting of the mutual fund shareholders of Sentry Select Canadian Resource Fund Ltd. (the “Corporation”) will be held on or about January 29, 2006 to consider approving changes to the Corporation. The meeting is part of a process launched today by Sentry Select to restructure the Corporation to provide for the ability to offer additional corporate class mutual funds alongside its successful resource fund. If the changes are approved, investors will be able to switch among the mutual fund classes within the Corporation on a tax-deferred basis. Sentry Select intends to create a number of new corporate class mutual funds, some of which would replicate existing Sentry Select mutual fund trusts. Sentry Select would be able to create other corporate class mutual funds in the future. To reflect the new multi-fund structure, the name of the Corporation will be changed to Sentry Select Corporate Class Ltd. and the name of the existing resource fund will be changed to Sentry Select Canadian Resource Class.
