Sentry Select Capital Corp. Closes Offering for Sentry Select Commodities Income Trust; Raises $170,000,000

TORONTO Sentry Select Capital Corp. (“Sentry Select” or the “Manager”) is pleased to announce that Sentry Select Commodities Income Trust (the “Trust”), an investment trust established under the laws of the Province of Ontario, has closed its initial public offering. Gross Proceeds - At the closing, the Trust issued 17,000,000 Units, for total gross proceeds of $170,000,000. The Agents have been granted an over-allotment option to purchase up to 15 per cent of the aggregate number of Units issued at the closing. Trading Information The Trust units began trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange on July 19, 2005 under the symbol SSJ.UN. Investment Objectives - The Trust's investment objectives are to provide Unitholders with: (i) monthly distributions (which for the first 12 months of the Trust are expected to be $0.05625 per Unit ($0.675 per annum or 6.75% of the original issue price)); and (ii) the opportunity for capital appreciation over the term of the Trust.
