Sandy provides leadership to the day-to-day operations at Sentry, as well as his considerable knowledge and experience to the investment management team. For over 35 years, Sandy has managed portfolios for high-net-worth individuals, charitable foundations and pooled fund portfolios, and is considered one of Canada's leading equity income authorities.

Since Sandy joined Sentry in 2000, the company has received considerable recognition and several awards for its funds and portfolio management team. Sentry was honoured as Canada's Best Equity Fund Family at the Lipper Fund Awards in 2011, as well as being one of only five companies in 2011 to receive the prestigious Brendan Wood International TopGun Asset Management Team Award. Sentry was also one of only four companies to receive the Brendan Wood International TopGun Asset Management Team Award in 2010.

Sandy received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto.
